I like using this for fixing gaps but…it has gone very stringy when I try to apply it.
Also, whn sanding it back afterwarsd, there are often bubble holes in the middle and I have to do it again.
What have I done wrong?
Thanks all!

Welcome to FSM!
You probably need to add some liquid cement to replace what has evaporated.
I will try that. Many thanks. That is consistent with the fact that it has gone like this only recently!
From what I remember reading on sprue glue, the cement will evaporate out of the styrene then it’ll settle.
I would think it wasn’t “gooey” enough, and didn’t flow correctly and it left air bubbles. You may need to thin it out some more.
Looks like you got your answer John.
Welcome aboard bud.
I’m not so sure. I think he needs to thin it out some more.
Welcome John!
Thanks everyone!
I have not used any since I thinned it but I will do some experiments
I’d try adding more glue to thin it out more.
Has he tried thinning it?
In all seriousness, I have a jar of sprue goo (Revell black) that started doing the same, can confirm it’s a solvent evaporation issue. In case there was any question! Adding solvent also makes it easier to apply to the brush if you’re using the TET jar, but don’t forget that the TET brush can be extended to touch the bottom of the jar…
