Hey guys, I was wondering if any of you knew what specific type of bike this is?
If its a real shot or something put on, its awesome and I wana build it at some point. also, any kits out that that include a kitty, of any sort that I could grab?

The tubular front fork and the fender light on the side car makes me think it is a BMW R12.
I think for your purposes though, any of the BMW’s in kit production (like the R75) or the Zundapps would work fine. Check the Tamiya kits, I think I’ve seen a kitten in one of them.
One of the Tamiya German figure sets has a couple of standing kitties. I don’t remember which one though. I’ve only purchased a few though. Might be a crew resupplying ammo. I’d offer one of my kitties up for you but I plan on using both of them.
Thanks for the info, ill look into it. You know, this isnt the only pic I have seen of soldiers and kittens. It brings up an idea, next time two nations are going to go to war, bring both leaders into a room, and give them kittens. It couldnt hurt at all
BRAAAAAAAP!
That’s a “Freundenbrapper” lol!
Many people don’t realize that the great sport of motocross owes it’s birth to Germany and then Czechoslovakia. After the war, all the German motorcycles left in Czechoslovakia were eventually used by robust young men with a desire to brap, and these surplus motorcycles were son running aorund in offroad competitions and challenges. Boys will be boys! The first actual motocross competitions were held in postwar Czechoslovakia!
True story!
There are still kettenkrad meets in europe where everyone brings out there vehicles for rallies and the euro version of a poker run. Cool thing is that the kettenkrads were produced well in to the 50’s as farm vehicles.
There were so many bikes hauled into service by the germans that its hard to say they only used a specific bike. One of my reference books shows a group of soldiers on several styles of bikes, russian, french, italian, military and civilian. Yes we see so many of the BMW’s and Zundapps, but there were so many more in service. I think they were the original bikers.
Pretty sure it was the german ammo loading crew kit. The figures in the early version stug III came with a puppy.
Andrea:
Awesome Ajl, any links to where I can buyem, or what the set is called?
They are a bit pricey, but you can get them at Military Miniatures Warehouse
yikes, well honestly, the sculpting on this cats isn’t worth the price. I was thinking, oh, maybe there like, IP one pieces like toy soldiers or something, but metal, and at that price, no thanks< i’d go with the tamiya set and get some people for the parts bin instead
That’s the one smeagol. The cat there is actually fairly nicely done too. You get two kitty’s in that kit.
