what do you guys think about....... Tiger I

I’m finnally finnishing one of my Tiger I Ausf. E/H1 kits from italeri, I’m at the cross roads, I painted it a base of dunkle gelb ( dark yellow for you guys that don’t spechen ) and it’s got a rot brun (red brown ) und ein khaki grun ( khaki green ) camo pattern on it. it’s late and I for got to put the decals on before i started to do the pastels ( no problem ) , I just need an opinion of which numbers to use the 122 the 732 the 141 the 222 or mix’em up to get another?
I was also thinking of nameing it " Rauchig " or : luftspiegelung "
they translat to Smokey for the first one and Mirage for the second one.

let me know what you all think, later guys and ladies.[}:)]

I’d mix-em Redleg.

Just my 2 cents.

Please post a picture. I’d like to see it.

Is it the 1/35 kit or braille? Either way, I’m with Latch on this one.

1/35 OOB ( just wanted to see what I could muster for it ), the pne picture you can see it’s still a wee bit wet but it dried with a pale worn faded sorta look to it ( I used tamiya acrylics and heavily thinned in alcohol for my wash ) . I did how ever misplace the left side cap for the drive sprocket, so I guess that side is going to be hidden in something later on?

I’m not all that familiar with the tiger units so if you guys could recomend which number markings to use for maybe an italian theater german tiger that would be cool?

On that note is there a page out there that has all the german units ( what they were and had etc etc.) that has all the markings and the dates for the places they’ve been to ( something with like pictures of the markings on the sides for a visual ref. )?

Looks good! I like the worn and faded look you achieved.

I still have a few seams but I think I might go over and wipe them out. I don’t think it’ll really have to much of a negative effect on the rest of the finnish?

very nice rusted worn look you have done
surely one of the more difficult finishes to produce!

You have a very nice Tiger build going there, Redleg!

nice faded look!! I like it!!

redleg: Nice job !!!.. looks battle worn and hardened for sure ! Like the name Idea … did the germans name their machines ? I would bet they did .

Nice job so far Redleg, I most always mix my numbers personal pref. Make sure you make em just as worn as the rest of your cat or they’ll look a little weird. I know, I’m just stating the obvious.

it almost done, I just need to seal it all and then that’s it ( sealing it will get rid of the odd spots or at least it should? ).

I’ll post pics after work today

I really like the weathered look. You’ve given me some visual inspiration for a piece that needs heavy weathering. Can’t wait to see it finished.

here it is, thus far and getting sealed in a few hours.

Very nice indeed! Hey! What has your driver been up to? Damaging your spare track frame like that… running over Stuarts? (I know, it’s battle damage and it looks great!)

LOL [:D][:p][:D][:p]

Great job Redleg. That very abused look is great.

you know the germans and beer, I think my driver was tipping to many suds before the big maneuver?

( you tell’em to get plenty of rest and not to go out and party to hard,NO, whatta they do, the exact opposite, hhhmmmmm drivers…? )

Very nice Jesse. Thanks for sharing.

Wow! Love it. Very nice weathering. Very intimidating look, too.

Mission accomplished, redgleg.
