I did a search on Hannants today because a local hobby shop said that they order stuff from them and any aftermarket parts i would like they can order special. It’s probably going to cost a bit more since it’s a special order, so i wanted to know what you all think of Czech Master Kits or these parts if you’ve used them before? Thanks!
Here is what i’m eyeing:
Czech Master Kits CMK7074
Aircraft detailing sets (resin) 1:72 Boeing B-17F/G armament set
Czech Master Kits CMK7075
Engines and propellers (resin) 1:72 Boeing B-17F/G engine set
Czech Master Kits CMK7076
Aircraft detailing sets (resin) 1:72 Boeing B-17F/G interior set
I’ve got a few of their 1:48 models stock piled in my stash for future projects. They make a lot of models that others do not. Anyway, that’s the reason I buy their stuff.
Oh yeah… and that Hannants site is sweeet. A lot easier to search for stuff than Roll Models, Squadron, Hobbylinc, or any other online dealers!
Stuff coming from the Czech Republic has always been pretty good. Back in the 70s and 80s, KP (now Kopro) was ahead of many Western manufacturers. Czech Masters are part of a ‘conglomerate’ that includes MPM and Special Hobby amongst others, and the stuff is generaly very good. Their full kits are anyway.
I’m afraid I have to be the odd man out on Czech Master, at least as regards their resin. All their stuff is cast decently, but alot of it is way off in terms of size/dimension, proportion and accuracy. (To me, total accuracy is only moderately important these days, but when I say off I mean WAY off…) I’m only speaking of the stuff which I’ve seen. Perhaps they have several guys making masters and some do well and I’ve just been unlucky, I dunno.
They do make alotta stuff that other’s don’t, so that’s a plus.
