Thanks. That barrel is included in the kit the only thing I replaced was the kit’s 9 parts per link tracks.
Oh that is great that was included in the kit. I definitely understand way you changed out the tracks
The tracks look fantastic.
Amazing how quickly that not only an M10 Booker model is released, but upgrade kits for M10 Booker models…
Yes,the kit is by Magic Factory and it is a superb kit,Tamiya buildability, and nicely detailed, not over engineered. In addition to the metal barrel there was a small PE fret, circle templates for the wheels which fit exactly, masks for the vision blocks.Got it from Andy’s
I sprayed my test bed Matchbox Skyhawk all one color again to start experimenting.
That H-39 looks terrific! I like how the tools look and that camo scheme looks very good.
Still working on painting all my 1/350 scale aircraft that I posted earlier if you scroll up a ways in this thread. Who knew that such tiny aircraft could have so many details that need painting? And since I don’t have an airbrush and have to paint them all by hand, this could take me several weeks.
Right now, trying to figure out a color to paint the canopies on the F-35’s. They are not clear. The whole aircraft is resin, including the canopies.
You guys and your 1/350 scale aircraft boggle the mind.
@keavdog
Oh? How so?
Big fan of Andy’s. Thank you for the kit information and details. Going online to snag one. Really looking forward to the end result’s of your build.
So small - mad respect with all that detail in 1/350
Thanks Tom! Was an easy scheme to mask for once haha
- Worked on practicing airbrush post shading for the first time on a couple of test mules.
- Took apart a gravity feed dual action airbrush for cleaning for the first time. That was a cool learning experience.
- Continued face detail on Phantom of Opera project.
- Continued personal index for FSM magazine library. Working on 2019.
Cheers,
Mark
Quack Quack Quack. Finishing up my Airfix J2F6 Duck. I’m a sucker for these old kits. They take me back to my youth, which was nearly a million years ago.
I’m like you and enjoy building these “vintage” kits. Your Duck is looking very good in that natural metal finish. Do you know if the Airfix kit is the same as the old Glencoe kit? I’m curious to see how that new 1/32 scale Gruman Duck is going to be.
Ahoy MrTS. No. They are not the same. Glencoe’s Duck is 1/48 scale. Airfix’s Duck is 1/72
Thanks Strongeagle. I’m not really familiar with Airfix’s kits. I believe Classic Airframes had a 1/48 Duck years ago too.
Finished painting all the F-35C’s for my aircraft carrier project. They may or may not be the right color. Everybody’s mileage will vary. To each their own.
Very impressive fleet air arm there WhatIfRebel!
