What Did You do on Your Work Bench Today

Thanks, gentlemen!

@Samphoto No, the stand is from another model, which one I’ve forgotten.

Got a little closer to the finish line with this little Arma Hobby, 1:72 scale, P-40 in AVG livery.

 Okay, now it all makes sense! The zebra finally found its natural habitat.

Seriously though, that came out great. The truck itself is beautifully done, especially the weathering, and dropping it into that scene really sells it. Very cool presentation.

Applying the myriad of decals seemed to take ages.
Finally getting the undercarriage fitted.
Nearly there :face_with_peeking_eye:

Correct, have been watching for the International Cabover but not found one yet. I have several Cabover kits although I tend to favor the conventional cabs more.

Nicely done @keavdog. No matter in the outback or on safari in the Serengeti cool either way. Amazing job. Thanks for posting, it’s been fun to watch your progress.

@keavdog Much better.

But that lion seems to be saying “I’m between you and the land rover. What you gonna do now?”

I was thinking it more had the look of, “Wait! I thought this was the fattest zebra I’d ever seen! It’s not even edible.”

I was having fun last night on my new project, and I wanted to share my broken back light! Folded tin foil from food packaging (thanks cats!) with some thin wire taken from the protective case of an old jack cable. 4×2 mm space is tough to work with! Don’t know how realistic that is, but I think the effect works.

Looks great y’all! My Sherman Firefly is finished. The commander is an Alpine Miniatures figure.

Nice job on your figure Sol,and of course the Sherman, but I think the figure is very good.

The figure really caught my eye, especially the face and skin tones. I usually have the benefit of my pilots being hidden behind visors and oxygen masks. :joy: When I actually have to paint a face, I generally fear it.

You did a really nice job with this one. What scale is it?

Going through stuff and getting set up to build, look what I found……….Blast from the past !!!

Remember these ???

I’m talking about the testers drop cloth

I do! Certainly been a long time.

I do remember that! I used to have at least one, it was a regular part of my building experience.

This one is still new “NOS” never been used…

If I remember right it came included with a testers paint set. Back in the day those were my go-to paints so it would make sense.

Well, here is what I am going to do with these. The Atlantis B-25 Mitchell cockpit and nose cone come with the ribs molded on the inside of the clear plastic part. I cut thin strips of masking tape, covered the ribs with them. I will then use some Micro Mask to fill in between the strip and when it sets I will remove the masking tape. Then airbrush the model and remove the Micro Mask, which should leave me ribs painted the same color as the aircraft.

I’m sure a few purists wouldn’t approve but I’m happy woth how it came out.
