I’m new to modeling and was wondering what company makes the best plastic models for the items listed below. I know that this is somewhat of an opinion based question but I would like to start spending my money on quality models. I recently purchased 5 kits from megahobby that were manufactured by revell and they all have fit and detail problems. Although they will give me much needed practice, I would like to spend my time making something that looks realistic and that I’m proud to show to others. Cost is not an issue
Thank you,
Danny

Welcome from me as well.
My call would be both Tamiya and Fujimi BUT I stay mostly with cars and some aircraft so other companies may excel in areas I have no experience with.
Welcome!
Out of the aircraft you listed the only one that I have built myself is the P-51. The best kit for this subject is the tamiyas kit in 1/48 scale. Its a quality mould and there are no fit problems at all, plus it has a good level of detail. You won’t go far wrong with that one.

For a D variant, yes. For an A,B, or C, buy the Accurate Miniatures one.
Academy has a good SR-71 in both 1/72 and 1/48.
Testors and Italeri make the only U-2s.
