What color are German Jerry Cans

I need to know this. Please reply

Depends, I assume you are refering WW2. Either Panzer Grey or German Panzer Yellow, depending on what part of the war. Late war for the yellow, or early war for the grey, however grey was still around all through the war.

Thanks nzgunnie, I cant read Japanese and there were no color codes that came with the set. I’ll do it panzer grey.

hi al the orginal ones i saw last week for sale were either panzer grey , yellow, or black , or luft blue and dark olive drab , even a white one cheers ian

A note about somthing we’re all guilty of. We tend to paint Jerry Cans alike and also exactly like the vehicle they are attached to. Infact these cans were used, and reused, and reused, and reused. Some looked new, some looked a little beat up, some looked like hell, some looked faded and some looked rusted. Also they would get repainted in field depots and the colors there would vary a lot.

Just my two cents.

they tended to match the base paint of the vehicle.

Now I am beginning to think you are a troll. Another 13 year old thread, really???

And I bet that if one does a forum search on this same topic, there will be multiple threads on the same subject between the last posting on this thread, and today.

The “use the recommended thinner for best results” comment on the 12 year old “thinner question” kills this one… [:)] There’s always a “thinner” question that’s no more than a week or two old.

Nahhh, my favorite is still the “Welcome” in “Welcome, introduce yoursef”…to a post 13 years old.

He definitely needs to go away. GM…I saw that one to and started to laugh. He needs a new hobby
