What can I do to remove enamel paint from my A 10A model?

I finished assembling my first model but put on too many coats of emamel paint and I now want to remove it. Are there any suggestions on what I should do or any products I should buy that would help?

Any help would be greatly appreciated

@Tim_Kidwell1 didn’t you do a fsm YouTube video on the topic of paint removal?

Lots of info to be had here

I drop them in a container of Purple Power overnight, paint gone.

We’ve done several and written about it many times over the years. Most recently, we used Easy Off and the results were less than stellar. For my time and effort, isopropyl alcohol works the best without any worry that it might attack the plastic. If I am going to strip chrome plating from parts, I use Liquid Plumr (which I have on the agenda this week, in fact).

Scrap it and buy another kit, keep this one for experimenting on. You can learn how to strip the paint then use it as a paint mule.

I know this will cause horror, but, I use acetone (cheap nail polish remover is a good source, although it’s slightly unpure). Very gently with cotton buds, as it can burn the plastic. However, that’s more for small areas. For larger areas, other than specialist paint removal stuff (which is amazing) oven cleaner is a cheap and easily obtained alternative, just give it time to work
