The taliban has tanks? Water tanks or the armored kind with big guns?
They had tanks. Prior to US boots on the ground and fast movers overhead.
Cool. I learned something today.
SF ODAs with an Air Force CCTs + fast movers overhead w/JDAMS =no more tanks. Have a B-52 or B-1 full of JDAMS and there goes a battalions worth of tanks…[:O]

Hey now they still have the tanks…they are just in much smaller bits and a slightly different color scheme…burnt & rusty [:O]

thanks again for the help guys !
Yes, the Tamiya T-55 is an excellent kit for this. Just do an image search of Taliban tank or Taliban T-55 and see what you come up with.
Wing_nut did a Taliban/Afghani T-55 about a year ago with a really great camo scheme on it. Look for that thread or send him a PM and ask for a pic.
I would imagine something like standard Desert Camo. Theyh probably steal the tanks so whatever the original owner had on it. If I was doing it, it would be big and orange waith a big stencil of “PAVE HERE” with an arrow pointing at the turret with the big super soaker cannon… lol

No, not for Afghanistan. I don’t think much of the original Soviet stuff was desert camo. As I recall, the one Wing_nut did was a base of green covered with yellow (sand) spots with blue in the middle.
That goes for me too! I had no idea.
I have to modify my previous comment. I did a search and did find a few pics of Taliban/Afghani armor in desert camo, so if you wanted to go that route, it looks like it would be accurate.
See…? I told ya. LMAO. At least my brain isn’t completely fried.

WOW Boyd… good memory. From all the pics that I could Google there were some interesting paint job but Boyd is correct. Seemed all, or certainly most, of the Soviets stuff was that green they love so much. This is the one I did…
Ah, there it is… what a beauty…
From my experiences, reddish goo, and pieces of other Taliban…

So I guess the proper “pattern” would be parts scattered around a rocky base?
