What are some good modeling books for armor

I’ve almost exclusively built aircraft models, but would like to get into armor. I’ve got a Bradlet, Panther, and King Tiger. Are there any books or referece guides on the web to get me started?

Thanks

The best general modelling guide I’ve read so far was Panzer Modelling Masterclass. It focuses on German armor, but the techniques can be used for any armor.

Not sure about reference material on the web but Osprey publishing has a great line of books called Fighting Armour Of WWII. I get mine through the Military Book Club. They also have books on modern armour including the Brad and M1. Also you can try Squadron/Signal publications armour series. These are really good books also with lots of photos and technical data.
Hope this helps
Pat

I agree, the Squadron/Signal series and Osprey series of books for modeling are probably your best bet. There are alot of books out there to help in modeling techniques. Especially FSM, and to be honest with you, the more you have the better off you will be. It never hurts to have too many modeling books(like model kits). I also like to go to hobby shops and model shows and buy up as many older model magazines as I can for armor. There are alot of good OLD tips out there still floating around. Good luck to you. Chris. Osprey books are very good books. In case you’re looking for the website, here’s the link: http://www.ospreypublishing.com/

The best book i found was Panzer modelling masterclass by Tony Greenland, excellent book with step by step articles and pictures. At the end of the book is a gallery of his models to give u inspiration.
