Well some things from my work bench (Pics)

Well you have seen most of it some weeks back. Here’s the rest of it with the other tracks on. [;)]

And here are some things for the dio that will go with the Panther.

The figures…(mix from Dragon - some frankensteined)

The ruins - (made from foam board)

I am moving slowly with my dio so it may take some time before I can complete it.

[:)]

That is fantastic work!! That Panther is beautiful

Great work man! I particularly love the figures.
Ryan

Dwight my friend, I could never tire of your builds. They are just genius. That Panther rocks. The ruins are scratched? Incredible. Please keep em coming.

Thanks alot for the response guys. I have been too lazy lately that’s why progress on my latest dio is very slow.

Dwight, I would love to see a walkthrough on those ruins. They look great!

Hiya Dwight,
Sweet lookin Panther you’ve got there. Is that a Late A. I’m guessing DML/Dragon
Looking forward to your finished Dio… Mmmmm I see that the Commander is doing his daily exercise??.. LOL
Flaps up, Mike

Fantastic paint job on that Panther.

Dwight,

You are a great modeler. That’s all I can say. Thanks for sharing your work

Ted

The Panther could easily stand along Dwight, but now that you have previewed the scratch built ruins, there’s no going back. Take your time, your marvolous work is well worth waiting to see. Semper Fi, mike

Well now you are really giving me back the urge. LOL. OK OK I’ll try to move faster on this one. Thanks for the kind words, guys.

Dwight, excellent work as usual. I could have a completely satisfactory modeling career by just copying your stuff!!!

Quick question, if you have time, could you add a few sentences about how you finish your figures? Particulaly the faces.

Thanks for sharing your work[:)]

Basically the faces are painted in 3 shades.
1.) I apply a coat of a mix of flat flesh (70%) + dark brown (30%) as a base coat.
2.) I drybrush with a mix of flat flesh (90%) + dark brown (10%) as secondary coat on most raised areas leaving the deepest recessess and creases untouched to show the darker shade of the base coat.
3.) I drybrush with flat flesh on the highest portions of the raised areas.

For the eyes, I use dirty white and flat black applied with a very thin brush.

For the lips, I use red mixed with flat black.

Thanks.

Great stuff! On the Panther, I like the rusty mufflers (if that’s what they are called?) with the black and soot exhaust drybrushing.

Dwight-it looks much better tracked and ready for action! Congrats on another a-one project-can’t wait for the dio…

Steve

Dwight… all I can say is [bow][bow][bow][bow][bow][bow][bow][bow]
