Whats the easiest method to replicate small weld seams?
TIA
Also, any 3M acrylic users? My cap broke off mine, what do you all do to replace it? if youve had this trouble before.

Where did you get the dental burr?
got mine from the dentest. he had all kinds of them. all i did is ask but i forgot they were used but they stereled them. he told me they just pitch them out.[8]
What other putty works besides the squadron. Seems like I have all the rest except that one.
I have the 3m Acryl blue and green, the bondo spot putty, Mr surfacer 500, 1000 and 1200,
and… well heck, thats it.
I did these tack welds with putty and an exacto…

One trick I have used besides the putty with some great success is a very thin piece of streched sprue.
When I say thin, I mean approx half the diameter you would use for an antenna.
Cut a section the length that you want your weld seam to be and use some good old solvent glue in the area you want it applied. Let it set up a few minutes and then add some more glue OVER the sprue piece. Let that set for a second or two and then use your X-acto to gently carve in the texture. Pretty cheap and easy.

This is the scratched Tiran conversion I did last year. I did it without any AM parts at all so I had to be cheap about it.
Ok, notice the seam on the toolbox to the left and the seam between the turrets as well as the small bracket tie-downs for tube cleaning rods? These are all done with sprue and solvent glue.
