Do you know if there Caravelle or DH106 is good fit wise? I’m thinking about picking one of these up in the near future!
Harry, I’m not sure what the Caravelle and Comet kits look like. If they are old, expect rough air ahead. If they are relatively new, they will still require some TLC in the cleanup and fit departments.
This week my LHS had a table full of ancient-looking kits of some temptingly weird subjects. I gave my wallet a break and only picked up this one Czechoslovakian kit of a Grumann Skyrocket. You know it’s gonna be good when the country it was made in hasn’t existed in like 30 years…
Does anyone else think it looks like the plane is trying to eat its own wing??

Love my Grrave Frog. I wish I had the shark and bears too!
This one’s pretty funky
That’s really weird… An armored nut?!
Hey @Raphael, if you’re still interested in the bears USA Gundam Store still has them in stock.
I’ve built two of the armored nuts. Walnut and peanut.
'll post pics later!
LOL, the armored nuts certainly live up to their name.
I just got a sale ad from Mega Hobby and they have a Walking/Swimming duck from Tamiya in their ad.
The weirdest and most unusual thing I have ever seen is these 1/12 scale preassembled and painted Toiletbots.
I kid you not. I saw this box on the shelf at my local hobby store back in 2022. If you think these things are crazy, then so is the price for them too.
WOW! You could probably get a real toilet/urinal for close to that price! I wonder if they’re “crappy” models?

I had no idea they made toys from THESE bots, until now. Thank you @WhatIfRebel
Not really food items but made of vegetables.
These are made in Japan during the Obon festival, when deceased relatives return home to visit. The ambulatory vegetables are meant to transport them to and from the beyond. I never made these as a kid, although my Japanese mother told me about the practice.
But now as an adult, I can finally make plastic models of them! Note that there are more holes than needed for the legs - I think they are to facilitate a “30 Minutes Mission” or “Armored Core” makeover, with laser guns, grenade launchers, and other instruments of mayhem and destruction. I mean, you never know when relatives that have passed on might need to call in an artillery strike.
Saw this kit a few years back and had to have one. To top things off, they had an Iwata version! It came with a lighting kit and a base. I decided to use a Polar Lights base instead.

I’m in love with that nebula base, stunning work
Haha, Love this! I’ve got to expand my model kit search skills
