Want to try figures

Hi everyone, i’m mostly into aircraft modeling. Now, I wanted to try into figure painting. someone presented me a plaster of paris casted dog figure without being painted. what kind of paints must i use to airbrush this figure? Thanks for any input.

Whatever works in your airbrush and that you are comfortable using. IIRC, Plaster of Paris is somewhat porous, so using a primer/sealer might be a good idea.

[#ditto] prime first and use what you like on your aircraft in your airbrush. Just one thing how big is this dog?

jimq,
The size is a bout a half of a mans fist. Oh, by the way, do you guys know how to paints small figurines like the precious moments (pastel like) finish?

Just found the site for these figurines. They look to be done with minimal shading and highlighting, and are probably ceramics which usually require firing to set the paints. It’s a different style of work than figure modelers use and would not do well in any type of figure or general modeling competition.
Try looking at sites geared to ceramics for assistance in getting that style of painting.

Thank you guys. really appreciate your input.
