Wacky German MG-shield graffiti/art/pin-ups...

Oh man…so many possibilities to comment there but have to remember this is a family-friendly site so won’t say anything. [censored] [(-D]

Hmmm…a clock with no hands. Thats a common tattoo for life-sentence criminals, since it means your in prison forever, or in other words an infinity. I wonder if the soldier who painted that realized he’d be fighting indefinetly or something like that. Makes you wonder…

Manny, how many pictures did you originally post ? I’m only getting the one with the clock face. And why does the Title of this post keep evolving ? [:)]

Think about it, they’re Waffen SS. Heart of a warrior…

That’d be pretty philosophical, wouldn’t it… And not at all unbelievable… I’d be willing to bet it’s a reference/reminder for the gunners when someone calls out a target relative to the direction of the track… Ground troops use the same method of calling targets as air gunners… “FEINDLICHES RECHT! ZWEI UHR!”

Wirraway, I’d love to answer you—I really would…but on advice from my attorney, wbill, I cannot comment at this time…[:-^]…

My guess is mmmmm 3!

I agree with the target clock idea (in keeping with the discussion aspect of this thread). I know I have seen photos of US tanks that had a target clock next to a field phone mounting on the rear hull.

the clock is easy to explain, after Henry Jones Sr. did not understand Henry Jones Jr. in using the clock method for warning of incoming enemy planes, and got shot down {ok dad was kinda responsible} Indiana painted that on ALL the future German cars truck planes and tanks he stole…[:D]

In case the clock didn’t work these guys used “cat parts” to designate target positions:

I’ve seen that picture with the clock in one of my books on the Waffen-SS, it had a caption that explained it. I think it was on the cover of the book as well…
