W.I.P. Pz.Kpfm KV-2 754(r)

Nice one man, its going to be a scorcher.

Eddie looking mighty fine. Can’t wait to see her finsihed. Nice reference photos too. That turret looks like a model in itself. I agree with Ron and Will. Nice work keep em coming.

The conduit is nicely done Fingers, didn’t notice it until now but thought it interesting that you’ve got 2 sirens, one on each fender, for this guy. Is that something you added on your own or you discovered in the references? Can’t wait to see this bruiser painted!

Eddie,

I’m sure you’ll love the tank. I’ve had no real problems with my lightweight cast turret KV thus far (I’m onto detail painting and final assembly prior to final weathering). Your PE additions look really cool and make the kit much more realistic.

My only knock on my kit is that it feels toy like with the huge torsion arms.

Grant

Cheers guys!

Bill, not only do my references show two horns used on this behemoth, the kit also calls out for two. I chose to replace the kit parts with some resin Elefant ones, I had knockin’ around.

Its a shame 'cos Elefant are not in business anymore! [:(]

I guess something this big needs two sirens! [(-D]

your detail work is fantastic Eddie and i am really looking forward to your painting and weathering of this beast.

There is one of these in the LHS i guess Im going to have to pick it up after school someday.

Nice job!

Thanks a lot guys! I’ve jus given it a dose of primer, and its all sittin’ ready for the basecoat. Cheers!

I’ve got some paint on this now! I’m goin’ with an early captured beutepanzer resprayed in Panzer Grey with a whitewash applied. I have a totally wicked tried and tested ‘whitewash’ technique that can yield totally realistic results, when it comes to chippin’ it up, with limitless ease. More on that later, though!

Here is the XF-17 Sea Blue pre-shade coat, in action!

Ought to be a real stand-out with that finish Fingers, look forward to seeing/hearing about your whitewash method. [;)]

This beast looks friggin’ awesome. Are you sticking with the kit tracks?

I have a set of WWII’s made up, ready and waitin’.

Cheers all!

absolutely top notch— fingers-- your attention to detail is outstanding man!!— tread[tup][tup][8D]
