The flags are : USA, Belgium, Denmark, Holland ( Netherlands ), Norway … and Im a bit unsure of the last one, but im absolutely positive about the rest. Im a F-16 mechanic in the royal danish airforce so im pretty sure our flag is the third one. We have close coperation with the norwegian airforce so im sure about their flag aswell and we perform maping on the some of the F-16’s from Belgium and Holland so im pretty sure about their flags aswell, the last flag could be Portugal as they also have the F-16 and is one of the EPAF countries along with Denmark, Holland, Norway and Belgium.

Oh and nice model by the way.

EDIT: the last flag is not that of portugal, it is the flag of Italy, just google “the flag of italy” … try the same with the rest, or take a look at www.flags.net

As for my screenname I picked that name up when I was still a youngster, reading all about the adventures of the Canadian pilot, Dan Cooper it was (and still is) the name of a comic book series [:)]

The seat should have a noticeable lean to it. This is supposed to help the pilot deal with the tremendous G forces. The theory is that having the pilot recline at about a 30 degree angle offsets the line of force created by hard maneuvering and gives a slight reduction in the effect. I don’t know if the theory works. I saw a video on “Nova” several years back with a student pilot in an F-16 going into a hard 7 G turn. A little into the turn, you can hear him scream, then a final sounding grunt. At that moment, the plane let’s off of the turn and starts to nose over into what becomes a 70 degree dive. The student pilot had taken a nap. You can hear his instructor in the back seat telling him to “Check altitude.” It is several seconds before you hear the student pilot again, and he doesn’t sound like he’s all there yet. Meanwhile the plane is continuing a 500+ knot dive into the desert below. The instructor gives up on letting the student figure out what’s happening and pulls the plane out of the dive himself. The G meter on that maneuver went over 9.5(!!) If it wasn’t for the instructor being in the back seat, and being more used to pulling G’s, the video, the plane, and the student pilot would have been a smoking crater.

It would appear that you are right … its either the Hungarian flag turned upside down or the Italian flag turned side ways.
