I had a good bit of trouble with the finish on this one, hope it goes well,
the kit is an EARLY 80’s Hasegawa 1/32,it was chosen as “Scale Modelers Kit Of The Year” way back when, critics open

Me and my dad built one just like that, well, same paint job, but it was 1/48 or 1/72. It was my first model! It looks nice Lone! One question though, your seat looks like its sitting up way to far… is it supposed to be like that?
I built that kit “Way back when”. A second kit I converted to a Block 15 with the bigger stabs and bumps and warts. It was the best kit in its day. You did a great job on it.
OUTSTANDING Build, The color’s looks Great.

It appears whatever trouble you had was overcome, because it looks great to me. Nice job!

This model reminds me of a Popscicle commercial from a few years ago… “The colors, Duke, the COLORS!!!”
Anybody? Maybe I’m too young.
Lone, You did a real nice job. It’s not too often we get to build shiny planes, eh? I don’t see any major issues with your paint. I am a little currious about the seat now that eizzle brought it up. IT all looks real nice, you should be proud to display that one!
Nice job on the painting & decaling. Looks real good.
Regards, Rick
i think the seat was hanging up on something when i set it,it has since been corrected and is now leaning back a little,i didn’t notice it until i saw the photos and comments, that’s what i love about this place
And the flags of the six nations who helped develop the F16 are on there. Anybody want to name them off?
Nice work, Lone!

i may be wrong but,it’s a shot,i was 5 when it was started
United States
Belgium
Denmark
Norway
Netherlands
France
Looks good man nice job.
Not seen this kit for a while, you’ve done a great job on it. Lovely paint scheme too. Thanks for sharing it with us.
Sounds about right. I didn’t know for sure myself [?] Still a good job there friend!

I built that kit right after it came out, but you did a much better job than I did.
The flags are:
United States
Germany
Denmark
France
Norway
Italy
although the French and Italian flags are 90 degrees to what they should be. The bars should be vertical instead of horizontal.

if you built it right after it came out,can you narrow down for me when it actually came out?..i ordered it from a specialty shop and the only thing other than the unusable decals and yellowed instructions to show the age of it was the fact that the magazine was called Scale Modeler back then(i remember that from the early 80’s) but still can’t nail it down to a year yet
Being european myself I can name the flags correctly [:)] in order of appearance : (from nose to tail)
United States
Belgium (that’s me own flag) (btw, the German flag is indeed the same colors, but horzontally and red next to black)
Sweden
Netherlands
Norway
Italy
So no French nor German in there
Very nice job you did on that Falcon [tup]
i’m glad someone settled the flag issue,it’s been driving me nuts all day…lol
you wouldn’t be the same Dan Cooper that is missing after the most daring parachute demonstration in history would you?..wouldn’t that be something
DAN COOPER FOUND
UPI- Missing parachutist Dan Cooper was found today
alive and well in cyberspace. FineScale Modeler Mag-
azine website, FineScale.Com is where Mr. Cooper
chose to make his landing.
So far he has not responded to a query from our
man at FSM, “Lone”.
More to come on this breaking story as information
becomes available.
he tried to pay me off in really OLD bills to keep it quiet
Actually, the last flag is still a mystery (I don’t believe they would make the mistake of putting an Italian flag sideways), and there’s no Swedish flag (yellow cross on blue) there.
In order: USA, Belgium, Denmark, Netherlands, Norway, and ???
As far as I recall, there were originally only 4 European members of the consortium
