Sorry to have not been to active as of lately but I’ve had a few things going on. Not to bore you but my youngest son is a distance runner and was nationally ranked last year at #3 in the nation. This year he put in a lot of work and his times where again putting him in the top but a few weeks ago his times started slipping…well long story he has fractured his hip growth plate and is done for a minimum of 6 weeks before he can try to lightly run. So on top of doctor visits and MRI’s my hip has gone out on me!! Old age is nasty!!
Well, I have finally gotten around to finishing up my next SBS for Fine Scale Modeler and this one will be on creating realistic metals. Here is my figure and I hope you enjoy. I will put him on a new base with some better groundwork later.
Thank you all for the kind words. I appreciate them a lot. I also hope that you will get something out of the column. If there is something that you would like to see in the column please drop Aaron or the staff a line.
Hey guys, sorry to be late but thank you all for the kind words! I really appreciate them. I’m busy working on something new for my next installment on the Fine Scale Column.
I just go the September issue of FSM. I just love the Union Soldier that you painted. Maybe you can offer me some tips. I would love to indulge myself into figure painting but I don’t want to start with something to difficult. Maybe you could suggest how I could get started. I am always look at the Andera figures and would love to be able to paint a figure one day. Any suggestions on how to start?
Sorry to be so late but I’d be glad to help anyway I can. First thing, no matter what you do start with a decent kit. No matter how well you paint if the kit is bad it will just be a good painted bad kit!
