Vietnam-era U.S. 105mm Howitzer

Does anyone make a Vietnam-era 105mm Howitzer? I want to make a dio for my Uncle. Thanks in advance!

Yes, AFV Club makes an M102 howitzer as used by the US Army later in the war. It can be built as either a Vietnam version or a more modern version, 1980s/'90s - as shown on the box top.

AFV Club, Dragon, and Italeri make an M101A1 as used by the USMC and the Army early in the war. AFV Club’s is the best out of the three.

Dragon’s withe late WWII or Korean War crew (not good for Vietnam).

Italeri made one a long time ago too. It is not as good as the two above and has a WWII crew.

Ace makes a 1/72 M2A1 which they market as a WWII gun and a 1/72 M102.

Not sure if the later is still in production

My brother Redleg, Gino has given you a good list. I would add the AFV kits are the best. The M101A1 was used throughout the war by the Army, USMC and ARVN. The M102 was used by the US Army starting in the mid 60s. Because of its light weight it was air mobile and used in some unique situations like floating barge artillery in the delta regions.

Rounds Complete!!
