Very Proud Daddy

My son just won the regional spelling bee and is on his way to the national spelling bee in Washington DC. Tommy is the one on the left, the runner up is next to him. If he continues to be successful, he will be on TV at the end of May. I am very proud of him, and his hard work.

John

Congratulations! You have every right to be proud,

Wow! The National Spelling Bee? That is no small achievement. You both should be proud. And momma too! Keep us posted on how he does please.

That rocks! Good luck at the Nats!

Great achievement, rooting for him. And without a spell checker?

My son represented his school a couple of times. { as far as he went  }. You not only have to be smart, you have to have nerves of steel. Congradulations to your son, and I wish him well as he continues. It will be a great experience. knox

That is absolutely awesome, John! And as Stik said, please do keep us posted.

Having a child involved in any wholesome extra-curricular activities is the best ever, an accomplishiment like this is icing on the cake.

…and that was pretty funny.

Congrats to your young man, and to you and Mom for pointing him in the right direction.

Hoping he does well at the Nats!

Congratulations to Tommy! No small achievement here. And best wishes as he moves ahead to the nationals.

Congrats to Tommy on his achievement! And to you and your wife [t$t]!

Congratualtions John to you and your son.

Maybe FSM could “hire” him to spell check the forum! [;)]

Well, it is spell week in Washington DC. Tommy is there getting ready to compete. Round one is Wednesday at 8 Eastern on ESPN. Tommy is speller 105.

Daddy is getting to play batchelor for the week, and cheering him on from Illinois.

John

Congratulations ! Tommy !

I was a spelling and writing Tutor for some years . Great job and I’ll be rooting for you . P.S. You have a right to be proud dad !

T.B.

He made it to round 2! Spelled “papryology” correctly.

John

Papryology??? Never heard the word before. If I had tried to spell it on stage I’d have been booed off. If my major had not been girls and beer, maybe I could have been a bit more like your boy.

You’re a good Dad, being involved in his studies has no doubt been an incentive for him to do well. Ya done good, John, congratulations to you and your son. Thanks for the post.
