I know this kit has been around awhile, but I recentlly ran across it at a LHS. It is marked down to $25, so I was thinking about picking it up. Can anyone tell me if it is a decent kit? Is it worth the money? Thanks.

For the money, you could just buy the AFV Club Pak 43 AT gun. Here is a link to one on eBay (no connection to seller): http://cgi.ebay.com/AFV-PAK-43-42-8-8-cm-GERMAN-ANTI-TANK-GUN-1-35-SCALE_W0QQitemZ250067348652
If you read the review of the AFV kit on PMMS, you will see it outclasses the Verlinden kit (see final paragraph): http://www.perthmilitarymodelling.com/reviews/vehicles/afvclub/afv35059.htm
Russ: Do you mean the Pak 43 with the slanted gun shield and cruciform base (kit VP 1667)? or the Pak 43/41 with the splayed trailing arms, which is the subject of the AFV Club kit that Robin pointed to you?
If it’s the Pak 43/41 kit, then follow Robin’s advice and get the plastic one from AFV Club. I built up the Verlinded Pak 43/41 many years ago and enjoyed myself but I am confident that the AFV Club kit eclipesed the resin VP one.
If you’re speaking of VP 1667, then I’d say $25 is a good price. The alternatives are the old, pricey and less accurate Azimut kit, the cheap and very inaccurate Alan Models plastic kit, or the new, pricey and very accurate Cromwell Models kit.
There are some good online images of Pak 43/41 survivors so you can use them to superdetail your VP one. Feel free to contact me offsite. BTW, I built the Azimut Pak 43 years ago.
