This is my Vega$ '57 T-Bird painted with Tamiya TS-86 Pure Red with a Tamiya XF-2 Flat White seat and Tamiya X-18 Semi Gloss Black interior, embossing powder carpet, whitewall tires from the AMT '60 Chevy Fleetside pickup, new chrome and windows from the AMT 1957 Thunderbird ProShop kit, mobile radio and antenna from my parts box.
Nice work Mike! A little motor wiring would really make it pop. Nothing outlandish, just battery cables and spark plug wires would help a lot. Keep up the good work.
Thank you Jim! Just so you know, the engine is wired (the distributor is in the back of the engine), but I didn’t bother wiring the generator or the battery.
Sorry Mike, with these old eyes I didn’t see those spark plug wires down in the back. Think I have to get a large smart tv and hook it up to the computer as a monitor. [;)] Probably still have to sit right in front of it. Or use my optivisor.
Me Likum Fiery Looking Bird Car. I Callum them Thunder Chickens! This is in jest of course. I love what you have built there and believe me, that red is well done!
Jim, the wires are in the back of the engine to keep them from getting burned by the exhaust manifolds. Routing is under the manifolds from the distributor.
Good looking build, Mike. Those two-seater T-birds are great. The thing I remember most about the TV show was that Dan Tana parked his T-bird in the living room. Too cool.
