Really some excellent work you’re doing there. I’m super impressed. Maybe one day I’ll get some scratchbuilding skills, for now though, I’m not near that skill level. Keep posting pics as you go, I love the updates.
Wow, that is impressive. It was interesting reading the progress and checking out the pictures showing your progress. The last bunch of pictures – that’s just amazing looking at the details.
Well that is pretty much layer 1 of the detailing done. I have to panel the main hull, neck and lower hull. Then it’s a final layer of micodetailing, tiny greeblies and so on before the primer goes on. Should be pprimed by next week so watch this space.
That’s only layer 1 with more to go? Wow. I mean, I knew you weren’t finished, but more detailing? That is going to look awesome. Besides the extra bits and spares (like the turret hatch, fuel tank, etc.) is the majority of the detailing done working with sheets of styrene? I can’t wait to see more. Thank you for taking the time to take all the pictures and post them on your website.
I tend to work mostly in styrene these days only resorting to the bits box when a part is too complex to scratch or I want to let my imagination wander - particularly in greebli intesive sections.
I am really enjoying posting and getting feedback, it’s a good spur to keep going. It certainly helps. If anyone stalls on a project, they ought to try it, postive feedback is a great motivator.
