I’m going to be in the lowermainland and I was just wondering if anyone there can point out some good hobby shops, ones that would be more likely to have stuff beyond what I can find at every other hobby shop (Classic airframes and the like) Thanks.

I’m not from Vancouver but I do know of one really good Hobby shop in the North Vancouver area. However the name escapes me at the moment but there is only the one in the area so it wouldn’t be hard to look it up in the phone book. Happy hunting. Edit: I looked it up for you it is called Finescale Hobbies at 163 1st street East.

Burnaby Hobbies at the corner of Royal Oak & Rumble streets in Burnaby and Imperial Hobbies in Richmond on #3 road, across from the Lansdowne shopping centre. HTH Cheers

The name of the best in canada, bigger than uncle bill’s, is finescale models. They are located in North Vancouver. his address is: 163 east first street N. Vancouver 604 984 4366. I was just in there this afternoon and he just filled up on a whole load of stuff. he has a wall dedicated to to those type of kits about 30 feet long and it goes from floor to 12’ celing. Nevermind the aftermarket stuff, walls and walls of it. The chaps name is Martin Reihl. you name it and he’ll most likely have it or get it quickly. I’ve never waited longer than two weeks for anything he has had to order in for me.

Thanks, Actually the funny thing is maybe you did see me in there, about 2:00? You were beat to the punch on pointing out Finescale hobbies but I’m thanking both of you, I found the classic Airframes Hudson which I’d been after for a long time, it’s a great shop.

I live near the other Vancouver (in Washington). Just across the Columbia is a great hobby shop (Bridgetown), but that’s probably a bit out of your way. :slight_smile:

Glad you found it Toomanyslurpees!!! It is a great shop. My brother lives in the area and I love to go there when ever I can. My brother thinks I go there to see him. Heh heh!!!
