Hi, I’d like to know if anyone here knew where I could find 1/700th scale V-22 Ospreys. I know that they are included with various ship models, but I was actually hoping to find just the plane models. I know that Tamiya has produced a couple of 1/350th sets of carrier based arcraft, but these are already pretty old, and don’t include the V-22.
In addition to this, does somebody here have any idea how to make an AEW variant of this aircraft? Something like this:
I have very little experience with modeling, so any help would be much appreciated!

Mmmhh difficult question. Since you want them in a small (ship) scale it maybe best to post your question on the ship part of the forum. They probably know best what’s out there on the market.

Hit the Launch Catalogue button and then the Complete Catalogue.
Then White Ensign Model Products, then Accessories, then 1/700 Scale and finally “Airstrike” Aircraft. About halfway down this page you will find the V-22 listing. [:)]

As for building an AEW variant, there are none that exist in reality, so you’ll need to use a little imagination to build it yourself, or just base it from that concept drawing you posted. Looks fairly straightforward – that triangular radar shape will probably be easier to scratchbuild than a circular one anyways. Some sheet styrene cut to shape and sanded down would probably do nicely.
