Utra fine sand paper source?

Can anyone tell inform me of a site that ships to Australia and sells sandepaper upto 30, 000 or so grit for clear part/canopy polishing? I found some variety packs of the stuff by Stevens international on ebay but that seller only shipped to the US.

Any help greatly appreciated. Cheers!

Have you checked your local auto parts suppliers? Hardware stores? Glass repair/replacement companies? These all should have or have access to sources for such grits of abrasives.

If you can’t find any the check Alpha Abrasives who advertise in FSM. This is the company that recently acquired Flex I File and Touch N Flow. They are a company based in Canada.

My guess is there is such a mfr in your country who make or distribute such items.

Check the higher-end woodworking hobby shops (not just the hardware stores). In the States we have a chain called Rockler. They carry the MicroMesh sanding system

Its available in either cushioned pads or in sander discs.

Another place to check is the local beauty supply shops. They carry fingernail sanding sticks which range from coarse to paper-fine grits

We stock Micro Mesh up to 12,000 grit in single sheets & pads, as well as various kits, swabs, files & polishing compounds - we would of course mail to you: http://www.air-craft.net/acatalog/Abrasives-Finishing.html

Flexi I File do their #0202 kit, which goes from 15,000 to 60,000 here: http://www.flex-i-file.com/alpha/finishing-kits-film-glue.php

3M also micro graded diamond polishing / lapping paper & film up to 50,000 grit (for finishing fiber optics) - have a look online at some online industrial materials suppliers, or as Hawkeye says give an automotive factor / supplier a try.

Excellent. Great help. Thanks fellas.[t$t]
