also, for future reference, go to http://www.army-technology.com/projects/index.html - that has a complete listing of vehicles/military systems used by nations around the world … good for info and names etc

thanks iluv3ggs thats the type of info i was looking for

The US basically uses the M109A6 Paladin 155mm self propelled howitzer. Some of the National Guard forces still use older styles like the M109A4 and M109A5, all basically share the same hull.

The only other self propelled artillery we use is the MLRS rocket artillery or the M1064 120mm self propelled mortar carrier.

Edit: Oh yes, forgot to say that Italeri makes all types of M109 howitzers and Revell of Germany also boxes two as well (same kits). The MLRS is done by DML in both a US and NATO version.

Italeri has a M109A6 Paladin kit # 372 and DML’s US MLRS is kit # 3523.

An older M109A1/2 kit by Testors is OOP and that kit number is 779.

I have built all three kits multiple times and not had any big problems with them.

I may been attempting to teach granny to suck eggs here but no one has mentioned the M110A2,or are they no longer used?Revell and Italeri do a kit of this machine.

The US Army retired them after the Gulf War.

Thanks Rob
I was unaware that the M110A2 had been retired.
