Well guys, I am slowly getting everything photographed and put on display!.. I have just added my Nakajima B5N2 Kate, and a converted Mitsubishi F-2 to my Planes Album… Actually, its an old F-16 model that I always hated, re-done as a Mitsubishi F-2 of the J.A.S.D.F…

He he he… Funny story about the Phantom… As I live in Japan, I had seen plenty of the Hasegawa Japanese version of the Phantom, and so when I decided I wanted to build it, they somehow all dissapeared!..
So here I am with the idea of getting an American version of the Phantom, and so decided to custom the plane, and use my spare decals that I had collected… The only decal I didnt have was the (red, white, yellow and blue eagle) squadron picture for the tail… (Anyone have them?)…So away I go, and I build my Japanese Phantom… I was so very happy with the results…
No sooner had I finished it, I decided a few days later to go back to my local hobby shop, and low-and-behold. They have 3 of them sitting on the shelf!![:0]… Now why werent they there a week earlier?..
To rub salt into the wounds… I go shopping with the wife to the local mall, and what do I see?.. The J.A.S.D.F Phantom sitting there… Now get this… There were plenty of Tanks, and Gundams, and the usual crap, and absolutely no aircraft models… But one airplane model (only one) is sitting proudly all by itself? The Hasegawa JASDF Phantom for $6!.. No joke… So now, I look at my Phantom, and think it must be fate that I didnrt get the one that I wanted, and I had to stretch my custom abilities… So although not fully canon… I am very proud of my effort!

What did you do to convert the F-16 to an F-2? As I recall, the main differences are the vertical stabilizer and elevators.
And the hinomarus!
