UPDATE #3 "Little Big Tail"-10/8- Paint & micro-mottle

Nope, not a remake of a movie with Dustin Hoffman…

Big tail conversion done on the tiny 190D-9. The eye strain is tough on this one[:O], can’t workon it as long as a “normal” plane.

A little filling to do on the wings and off the the paint shop. Hmmm? How to do a 1/144 mottle???[%-)]

Hey buddy,

Move your finger I ca’t see the plane!![:D]

Nice job Marc

Thats cool. I remember have a plane that size when I was VERY Young. I LOVED IT…

Bud

Very carefully [:D]

Regards, Rick

Lookin good Marc, as for mottle how about real small holes in some card stock[:D] And like Rick said vary carefully.

How 'bout a half sized airbrush? [:D]

Very nice work. Can’t wait to see some piant on it, though!

Primed and preshaded with a fine point Sharpie. Randomly ripped some holes in some Tamiya tape and sprayed a test mottle… looks about the right size to me.

I bet you’ll be happy to get back to normal builds after this one. But shes lookin good Marc.

Let me tell you… no kidding. It’s like 20 parts but tedious as all get out. Like handling eggs with a catchers mitt.

wow. that looks real nice nut. can’t wait to see it finished.

Thanks for all the encouraging words guys.

Painted and almost ready for decals. “Almost” cause I want to dab a little RLM “84” on the mottle to tone it down a bit. As you can see… the preshading was a was of time so post shading it shall be!

Looking GOOD

Bud

Coming along good Marc.

Wing nut if you don’t wear glasses now you will after this build. I’ve lost bigger parts than that[:)] I’m just kidding, it looks great. The only thing worse on your eyes than building one of those is looking at a whole table full of the little aircraft and having to pick one over another.
