Does anyone know of a conversion for the up-armored humvees they are using in OIF? Eduard has an etch set that says its armored doors, but its not the right ones. if not, does anyone have any good pics of one? i think i could scratchbuild one, the only hard thing would be the louvers on the rear.

Anyone got a source for correct Humvee tires? I know its been asked a lot on here, but I just picked up the Hobbycraft kit and I’m looking to build one of those tricked out Humvees that the SF teams are using in Northern Iraq. Any suggestions?

[:D] hi as to the tire problem i would like some of those myself,did you get the liberator kit from hobbycaft ?the kits are real cheap up here,but i find that the decal placment is hard to figerout mayby its just me.good luck on the tire search.

Blast models makes tires and there is also another set out there that is “weighted M1025 tires” that is the correct tread pattern.

To be honest I am not sure who makes such a conversion. I am sure there will be future releases but as of now you may have to do your own scratch building.
Just look at Tamiya releaseing the OIF Bradley and the Abrams. So it looks like there will be some goodies down the road.
As for the tires, Tamiyas new 1025 comes w/ a great lookin set. I promise I’ll post my pix of my completed Humvee soon!!
