Hey everybody, I found this at a local antique store today. The plastic is still in great condition and except for a few missing clips for the snap tite pieces everything fits as well as could be expected. For the record, this is a 1970 Monogram SnapTite model of Snoopy and his Sopwith Camel.
It should be noted that I was not born until 1982, and my wife not till 1986. Needless to say this is a cool find. It will be going with my WWI models or maybe the fantasy/sci-fi models of my soon coming Model Cave.
I would love to hear any thoughts the fine members of the board have.
P.S.- The only peice that is missing are the decals My wife thinks i should leave it as it is and just restore/rebuil[d it. I kinda would like to find some decals that would fit.

Aw damn! I had that kit! Got it for Christmas back in like 1971 or near then… Also got the “sister” kit, “The Red Baron and His Fokker Triplane”. Both kits were motorized, the Baron’s figure was a big cartoony bust like Snoopy’s, with a big ol’ moustache and the base was a big Iron Cross… IIRC, the decals were stickers, rather than water-slide tough…

That’s pretty cool that you used to have this model. I saw the Red Baron kit when I was doing some research on the piece online. With any luck I will be able to get it too. I have to wait a bit, just put a big order in for paints and a couple new kits, so the wife took my bank card. Darn her and her caring about our finances!
Definitely a great find! My brother and I had both kits as kids. This is a true find; take care of it. The last one I saw was on display in the Smithsonian/National Air and Space Museum a few years back. An awesome find; I’ve been looking for one myself. Does the motor still work? If so, doubly good!!
