MM - These are not as good as his last batch…mainly because of simple…basic mistakes like dullcoating the windshields. These would appear as if he is going for quantity rather than quality.
It is a shame that on two of the models with the windshields, there appears to be dullcoat on the windshields? That is definitely a modeling mistake.
But the appearance of the models themselves is beautiful! The paint and weathering are all fabulous, and the finished are impressive! I can see nice work with pigments and the dirton the fenders of the T-34 is really nicely done!
Overall, a beautiful quatrain of models here, Phaisal–just tell AI to make sure that he doesn’t dullcoat clear parts like windshields! [:D]
AI’s certainly done a job on the bedspring T-24/85. It’s not easy to do, and he’s done it very well.
Meantime, what the other guys have said about the glazing. It’s always a good idea not to install glazing until after you’ve done the main painting and varnishing. Or if you do, remember to mask them off, ideally both outside and in, in case of overspray. I think this is something we pointed out about his previous batch of models.
Also, on the Unimog, a couple of points. First, the camo is a standard pattern, applied at the factory or at a major overhaul. the RoG instructions have the pattern correct, AI doesn’t. Also, it’s hard-edged (or at least, if there is any overspray, it’s so tight that it wouldn’t be visible in 1/35. Here are a couiple of piccies to show what I mean:
Gotta love that Unimog! I saw one on ebay yesterday, and was sorely tempted… Perhaps because of the fine job done on your’s I’ll have to consider harder next time!
I have yet to reply to this thread, thanks guys for all your kind comments and some compliments! I corrected the mistake about name (Mortar Carrier not Rocket Launcher) on my site as soon as I knew, and I told A.I. about his mistake a few days ago. I just told him to mask the windows before dullcoating. Tomorrow I’ll show four more armors from him, mostly are new kits:
