I have read through and searched various threads conserning US Navy WWII paint colors. However, Lifecolor paints and WEM paints while good suggestions are unavailable as far as I can find. In any event I prefer to work with acrylics. The following is from the Tamyia Missouri manual:
Haze Gray
Medium Gray XF20: 3
Flat White XF2: 2
Dark Gray XF24: 1
Deck Blue
Dark Gray XF24: 4
Flat White XF2: 6
Flat Blue XF8: 3
Flat Red XF7: 1
Navy Blue
Royal Blue X3: 1
Medium Blue XF18: 1
Flat Base X21: 1
I have the Synder and Short Ent. paint chips and these mixes/ratios are not a spot on match. Sooooooooooo I was wondering if anybody has a better scheme using Tamyia paints versus the one I’ve listed above.
