Ahoy ERAD,

Here is a list of u-boat kits and their manufacturers that I am familiar with and
that are currently available on the market. There are also some others but I
am not familiar with them.

Revell U-99 Type VII B scale 1:125 length of model 53.1 cm or approx. 21 inches.
Revell U-47 Type VII B scale (same as above)

Revell Type VII C scale 1:72 length of model 93.3cm or approx. 36 in.

Mirage Type VII u-boats scale 1:400 length of models approx. 5.5 in.

ICM Type XXIIII u-boat scale 1:144 length of model approx. 10 in.

Revell Type XXI u-boat scale 1:144 length of model approx. 21in.

Nichimo OOP Type IX u-boat scale 1:200 length of model approx. 12 in.
Mini Hobby models makes copies of the Nichimo and are currently available.

Academy Type IX u-boat scale 1:150 model length approx. 21 in.
The above kit is a motorized diving u-boat but not RC. The hull is quite
accurate in shape but will require rebuilding the area of the propulsion
system ie. rudders, drive shafts, propellers and dive planes
to render it accurate.

The above kits are all plastic styrene kits.

I hope this info is of help to you,

Have a nice day and happy modeling !

Thanks for the help couldnt ask for anything else!

Apart from Type VII, Mirage also manufactures the small Type II and large Type IX (including Type IXD, which is longer than the usual Type IX), all at the same scale (1/400).

type II: approx 110mm (4,33in)
type IX: approx 191mm (7,51in)
type IXD: approx 218mm (8,58in)

(type VII: approx 168mm (6,61in))

if you’re interested in modern U-Boats, Revell of Germany also has the type 212A in 1/144 scale.

Thanks a lot for the help!

Out-of-production 1:350 scale U-Boat kits by Gulfstream in resin and brass

Type VIIc - about 7.5 inches
Type IXc - about 8.5 inches

Both of these were done by John Ficklen, who many consider to be the father of resin ship modeling, They are well done but a little crude compared to current state of the art resin modeling.

Then there is the U-35 WWI German U-boat by Yankee Modelworks/Blue Water Navy. Also in 1:350 scale, resin & brass.

There is also the MPM Special Navy 1/72 U-Boat Type XXIII. I have no idea of the exact size, but it looked about 50cm in the box that I just had a look at. Nice looking kit btw comes with a PE fret and resin bits and pieces.

Cheers
