[tup] Nice job on all Pix. I especially on the Ta 154.
Cheers,
Eric
Thanks obiwan, bstrump, and flippersdad !
Luftwaffe camo sure is fun to paint. I’m glad you enjoy the builds so far !
Outstanding as always Pix, love those German camo schemes. You.ve given me the inspiration to finally build a 262. Again great job.
dragonfly
Great job pix, excellent builds. I really like the black underside. Do you have any 262:s left in your stash?
BTW, did you change the photo background from blue to black-gray just for this project. If so it´s a great ideea, goes well with the fly-by-night.
Thanks dragonfly and Gilmund !
Gilmund - I still have five more Trimaster Me 262s, including the one with the 50mm cannon. Now if I can just find the bomber version with the glass nose . . .
I’m using the black background, since it’s more appropriate for nightfighters. It’s also easy to get the proper exposure time when I photograph the 262B’s lower surfaces. When I can differentiate between the model and the background, and have rich blacks, the exposure is correct.
Thanks again !
[tup] Really nice, Pix! Gives inspiration for tackelling those Luftwaffe paint schemes! - Calvin[:D]
Thanks lodni_k !
As long as you fine tune your airbrush settings and paint mix so you can paint thin lines with consistency, Luftwaffe schemes are just a lot of fun to paint !
Thanks again !
well PIXI how many does this bring you up to? in you current collection,
I’ll bet more then the Smithsonian has in it’s storage & display
keep it up, great work
WOW Bill!! [:)] Those night fighters are really coming along now; Beautiful job indeed!!! Thanks for letting us see!
Take care,
Frank
I’ve always loved night fighter/bomber schemes, escpecally late-war Luftwaffe. That’s one reason I’m painting my Zwilling the way I am. Nice work, as always. [tup]
looks great. your makin me want to push everything aside and break out my trimaster kits. have you tried ebay for the bomber version, i picked mine up for 20.00 bucks there
One Churning, and Hoards Yearning.
Pix Churning out one great model after another…
And all the rest of us yearning for the day we can do the same.
Great job on all three Pix !
Chris
Thanks cuda, Frank, Lucien, ghettochild, and Bossman !
cuda - these are my 13th & 14th Me 262s from the Trimaster/DML/Dragon kits.
ghettochild - eBayis probably my only option for that kit. I built the DML version years ago, but I want the added photoetch and white metal parts of the Trimaster kit (which also uses better plastic).
Bossman - once you can’t (or don’t have to) work anymore, you can spend as much time at the bench as I do. It’s a wonderful way to spend your time.
Thanks again !
like they say practice does make perfect,
So PIXI How many models (all types) are in your collection?
Looks great!! and an interesting subject too
Nice work Pix
Thad
To think we armor builders whine about German camo for tanks, I truely admire the A/C builders who do German aircraft. Same goes to those Brit builders too. Nice job Pix.
Thanks stukabomb, Thad, and Tigerman !
cuda - I have about 200 displayed, and another 100 damaged from my last move. I also have an additional 100 or so that I built when I returned to the hobby, but those were just to get the “modelling muscles” back into shape. They’re not worth displaying.
Tigerman - I’ve seen some interesting camo on German AFVs. They don’t have the sleek outlines of aircraft, though.
Thanks again !
Very nice builds, as always Bill! Thanks for sharing the pictures.
