Hello everyone, I set myself in mind to realize at 1/35 this container but I do not find much on the canvas, es what someone would have these dimensions, a diagram with ribs, close photos . I have already made the small container for the turbine of the huey , but this one also interests me a lot to reproduce this style of shelter . thank you in advance to all of you for your help .
I’ve seen this photo before! But I didn’t realise those were engine transport containers, thanks for pointing that out. Unfortunately I don’t have the measurements…
Looking at how they probably filled them with dirt and used for revetment I wonder if that was a good thing to do… I mean I suspect somebody was missing those containers, they don’t look to be meant to “discard after use” and suppose you get a new engine, what do you do with the old one? It probably should be shipped to be rebuilt, right? I mean in a container, right?
I hope somebody’s got the measurements or knows where to find them. And I bet there’s a NSN for this container, and that would allow us to find at least the basic dimensions.
I hope to end up with the solution , I have at least one other photo where the Grunt’s have protected their barracks with these same containers , it’s to make an original dio , I keep looking for ideas that change the ordinary . And I think I’m going to be forced to make an effort to share my last diorama here, I’m almost done and so I’ll be sure you’ll see the whole thing.
another thing that has nothing to do with our hobby , Pawel , I have a couple of friends , Garry and Laura , and she , she is of Polish origin , her name , Mrowczynski , and well they just had a son , guess the name: Pawel .
have a good day .
phil.
A thousand apologies, I was finishing the CH-54 for a competition near my home in the city of Brest and I forgot that I had asked for help here.
Pawel , I do this model :
and then as I discovered that there were longer ones as in the starting photo and that I saw installed along the barracks of the grunts , I thought maybe it was worth doing some research on this container and it would do one more thing to enhance our dioramas, wouldn’t it?
