Trying my hand at 1/72 **Updated**

Here is something I have been working on (along with the Sherman Group Builds) It is Revell’s 1/72 Panther. Seeing so many good builds of braile scale, I figured I’d give it a try. So far, it’s been pretty fun (although my eyes are somewhat crossed now [;)] )

This is after the final coat of Red Brown, in the 3 tone camo scheme. I still have a ways to go but, here is the progress:

good-looking panther there!!!

Hey! Well done. That’s the kit I built for the Group Build. Yet, it’s far from the best of Revell’s little tanks, I assure you, Eric…! Given the quality of your work, I hope you won’t give up on small scale AFVs…!

Eric:

congrats on a fine job so far !
lovin’ the camo ! [tup][tup]
i’m kinda surprised u went with a Panther 4 ur first 1/72…
still, now u can do revell’s 1/72 Tiger next !
(after ur eyes uncross, of course…) [:p][;)][:D]
welcome 2 the wonderful world of braille scale !

frosty[:)]

Ah Frosty, you know me all too well…

I did pick up a 1/72 Tiger 1 & Tiger 2 also, you know…just in case [:p]

Revell’s Tiger 2 with Porsche turret is coming out this year too…!

Nice, Eric! Look at those teensy sprockets!
I’m waiting for a 1/16 Panther!

what would you say is the best of revell’s 72’s Domi?? I have almost completed my m1a1 from them

Chris, get their Merkava III. A jewel. Their Cromwell is supposedly superb too. Their M1A1 is also an older kit, though it’s not bad, but you’ll notice the difference straight upon opening the box.

You’ve been a busy boy Eric.
With the M36, Project 68, and now this little Panther all on the go !!!

Nice clean build on this little fella Eric. Great camo lines too.

Thanks for sharing !!!

Looks great Eric. I’m still contemplating if I want to try another small scale. If I did to many then my wife would probally say I did not to get any more big ones.

Looking very good Eric. Thanks for sharing.

Thats excellent so far, much better than my stuff… of course, you have an airbrush to work with, I gotta do everything by hand now cause my airbrush has caused me enough crap. keep up the good work.

Nice looking panther you have there, Erock.

The paintjob is excellent!

Regards, Dan

I may have to join you. I’d like to see a T37 in 72. It’s so small in 1/35!!

Erock, after successfully conquering the 1/16 realm, it seems that you are off to invade the 1/72 lands as well. And you are off to a great start I might say. Well, actually I could not expect less from you. I just hope that you’ll get out of this one with eyes still straight. LOL.

Erock68,
Very nice camo job. This scale does save on paint.[:)]

Good luck on Braille Eric, I’m sure it will measure up to you past quality builds. I too, am surprised you chose a Panther for your first 1/72.

JKeller, 1/72 saves on shelf space also. LOL

Excellent job on that Panther! I love the airbrushed camouflage. Welcome to the world of Braille Scale! Your introduction is coming along great! [:D]

Looks good Erock!

I’ve got to get my spray booth setup so I can paint my 1/72 scale Panther for the group build. I still have to build my vent system for the booth.

I’ve basically finished the build and I’m at the painting stage now.
