thank you jibber and tigerman for the comments. Not sure what tips I can offer. I painted the loco with Tamiyas german grey, then i lightened the german grey about 30% and dry brushed the entire loco, when that was dry I again lightened the german grey around 50% and did a light drybrushing on the entire loco. then comes the washes and pigments. It still needs more work, but for now I am going to be working on the diorama part, followed by figures.

very nice. i have this in the stash and the BR-52. i have build the hobbyboss 1/72BR-52 and the WRC-12 diesel and learned a lot, enough to buy a second one of each. looking forward to getting the hobbyboss 1/72 BR-86
