Trumpeter replacement parts service, excellent!

I am unsure if anyone here has used their new service yet but I do recall seeing many folks here ask if they have a replacment parts service in the past. I ordered 4 sprues for their Admiral Graf Spee kit which I do not even own. I wanted the boats and the torpedo launchers to upgrade my Academy kit with. Got all four sprues for $25 dollars shipped. Ordered them on October 1st and they arrived today from China. Just wanted to give some kudos where it is deserved and spread the word for those who are not aware of the service.

I just entered the kit number and it displayed all the related sprues.

All I get upon entering my item number is an error screen that says “can’t connect to DB”

Sorry to resurrect a dead thread, but I found it google searching for Trumpeter replacement parts. But I just tried this and got the same result as above. I saw on their facebook page that you had to email joanna@trumpeter-china.com. Anyone tried this with any success?

Update: Yesterday, I sent Joanna an email about some sprues, so far nothing.

Update: Still nothing from Joanna from Trumpeter. I’m guessing their emails are black holes to which emails are sent and nothing is ever heard from them again.

I have attempted to get replacement parts on several occassions. Went through the whole ordering process and everything. So, I have a few unfinished Trumpy kits, and I will NOT be adding any new ones to the stash. Crappy service, and I am yet to be impressed by any of their kits. They can KMA!

Tried emailing Stevens International, too. They’re almost as bad

Good luck with that. I tried to get a replacement canopy for a damaged one 4 years ago and still waiting lol. Thank god for Squadron’s vac form canopies.

Yeah, it’s looking like either I just use the 3 main gunhouses for my USS North Carolina or buy the 40 dollar ones from Model Monkey. I bet if someone started a business just selling spare parts to model kits, they’d make a killing…

just wondering if you followed through with sending payment to fairy0921@163.com and if you received your replacement part. I received the same email to send a PayPal payment of $8 to for shipping a decal sheet and am curious if it is legitimate. Just seems a little sketchy to me.

I also got that email address and found it odd so I did not continue with it. Besides two tiny parts and chipping was expensive so I opted to scratch out the parts.

I have Kit #02349, It’s an anti aircraft gun. Came BNIB missing 4 tires, the Breach (how do I build a gun without a breach) and the PE part. $40 into thing.

I can live without tires and PE but the breach is kinda usefull to build the gun around.

I waited 8 months for a replacement part from trumpeter.
