It would be great if someone would produce a LAV III interior. I have seen a kit for a Stryker interior, could this be adapted for the LAV III?
Who does the stryker interior?
Wanting an interior for my ASLAV’s
Can’t quite remember where I saw it, maybe Squadron? I’ll see if I can track it down
Found it! It is made by Black Dog Models http://www.blackdog.cz/t35.html.
DToys out of Korea also does an M1126 Stryker ICV interior. It is cheaper than the Black Dog version, yet a little more simplified.
Either could be used as the basis for an ASLAV or LAV III interior. The driver’s area and rear section would be good. You would just need to scratch the turret basket.
Also, if you want a full interior, Legend does an engine for them as well.
Good luck.
Where would one find a picture or other information on a LAV III interior and turret basket? Are there differences between the LAV III interior and the Stryker interior? The reason I am asking is that I think it would be nice to model the LAV III with the rear door open. By the way is it reallt a LAV three or a LAV one eleven?. The reason I am asking is that the LAV 25 came before the LAV III. (or did it???)[*-)]
A quick google image search bring sup this LAV III interior pic.
It looks the same as a Stryker interior for the crew compartment with the screen enclosure dividing the turret and crew area.
And yes, it is called a LAV III (3). The LAV-25 is the USMC designation. The LAV-25 is actually a LAV II (2) or second generation vehicle.
great find! I was going to install an interior in my M1132 ESV, but the pics look like they use different seats along the sides? I thought the ESV had a jumper type seats not the bench?

I have used the Blackdog Stryker interior on a AFV Club ESV model that i am building for a friend …very nice moldings on the resin but man o man what a mission to get it all to fit ,its not easy but once done ,very nice results
Great picture. I’ll try and find the turret basket picture on Google. Does anyone know how well the Blackdog interior would fitt in the Trumpeter kit?
Hi John.
I would say that if you don’t plan to keep the turret hatches open, the picture that Gino posted should give you most of what you need for the interior layout.
At this scale, you wouldn’t see much of the basket behind the mesh wall. You would just require minimal details to give a hint. These 2 interior sets are pretty bang on, if you omit the RWS gunner station.
PM me if you have more question about the layout. I have access to LAV-IIIs almost everyday.
I agree with Gun Tech above. It should be pretty easy to do the mesh wall. That is about all you need.
Here is another shot of the LAV III interior. The red outline was added to the pic (not by me) to show the mesh wall that seperates the crew area and the turret.
Thanks for the info and help. [t$t]
