Trumpeter E25 WIP

I know its been along time since I posted, but since I’m sitting at home with the Flu, I’m getting work done.

I started this E25 a couple of weeks ago and always wanted to do something in primer red. Now I know that by the end of '45 and into '46 the base colour of German armour would have been Green but I wanted it this way. Now remember it’s still being worked on.

It went together in about 4 hours, as an exercise I textured all the plating and applied welds with stretched sprue worked with a scalpel.

I’m still trying to get a satisfactory result on exhausts but believe I will start with pink colours from now on and then work the rusts etc.

I was trying wood effects and settled on this. It was done with a toothpick.

I realise that the weathering is heavy but I will be adding this to a base with ground work.

All in all a good exercise, I mean from the point of view that you can experiment and still end up with something half decent.

Thanks for looking.

Merry X-mas to all and a happy new Year.

Regards,

Terry Burke.

hi Terry bro’![:)]

your work on the E-25 looks really great-[tup][tup]- I love the textures and colors you use—really nice to see you posting again!!-- your pal,tread[8D]–p.s. --got your e-mail[:)]

I reaaly like this! I think the camo scheme is very creative, and nicely rendered–good mask job, and really cool weathering.

Man, I gotta get one of these!

Thanks, Tread and Doog, I must say that the Doog’s hetzer was a big inspiration.

Doog I’m collecting the E10 when I get back to work and planning something similar but in the proper green.

I hope to finish it over the holidays, along with my big Secret project, ha,ha,ha,

Won’t be online for a couple of days, christmas parties, more parties, booze, booze, booze.

Oh lordy, gonna need a new liver, but can’t do anything t’ill I’m finished this flu medecine, haven’t been to work in a couple of days, naughty, naughty.

Sitting at home since last Friday and not being well, I never thought it was possible to go through so many packs of cigarettes, and thats just plain stupid.

Seasons greetings to all.

Regards,

Terry.

P.s. Tread If I get a chance I will be in touch in the next few days looking for an opinion.

Nice job Terry i like the creative paintjob and am seriously considering something different like this on the E-10 i have just finished building, also the weathering is definatly the way i like to see them, how did the kit go together? the E-10 was a very nice build, fit was great, detail for the most part was good, really except for the sink marks, knockout marks and flash it was a very nice kit i will probably get the E-25 to go with it now.

Ron I can highly recommend this kit. The fit of parts is excellent, one or two evenings and building is complete. I have two of these. There is also the option of the Barbette turret and two engine decks, all in all pretty cool.

The tracks took a bit of filing in places, namely the ejector pin marks but a couple of hours sitting in front of the TV, (telly over here) will sort it out.

I read some posts both here and other sites where people were taken aback by the price, but personally I was delighted with a plastic alternative to an otherwise expensive excerise in resin.

I Liked your E10 build over on armorama. Keep up the good work.

Well Ron, go get one.

Merry X-Mas

Terry Burke.

Great to see you posting again Terry. I like this little dude. The tools are really well done and the camo, very plausable. When I look at that long barrel, I think of it as so wrong on this vehicle. It’s like the weight of it will tip the tank forward. Thanks for sharing and good luck to your liver.

Nice work on the paper panzer terry, the paint-scheme is a neat one and since it’s a “what-if”, a great opportunity to exercise some creativity! [tup]
