Trumpeter Curtis P-40 Warhawk 1/48

This is a very nice kit, with one big exception. The decals . Fit is excellent , engraved panel lines , poseable flaps , better than average detail , really a nice kit that went together with no issues . l have just begun applying decals , and they are pretty bad . Very thick , won’t settle in to any features . I would recommend this kit to anyone that is willing to buy AM decals , or able to make their own .

How much are these? I want one, I got the Hasegawa one but it isn’t the right version for pearl harbor.

Have this kit in the stash. Biggest problem by far is the woefully shallow cockpit. A resin replacement is pretty much a must. Other than that it is a really good looking kit. Lawdog built one up here not too long ago.

Squadron has them on sale right now for $22.

Nice!! Can it be opened up to display the engine? At least on one side. Gotta display the tiger mouth on the other side with panels closed. I’ve been wanting a P-40 for the last couple of weeks.

The kit isnt molded with that ability but I am sure it can be done. I bought this one after reading up on “Killer” Caldwell.

I got it for$30 at my LHS . The kit does not include an engine , or a way of displaying it. This was my 1st Trumpeter aircraft kit , and it was a good one. I can’t speak to accuracy issues though . I have not yet attempted the shark-mouth decals.
