Trumpeter 1/72 Jagdpanther

Hello, I just finished this build for the Winter Warriors II GB and I thought I post it up here. Its my first ever armor subject in this scale. Normally I do 1/35 armor and 1/48 aircraft but since moving into a new house last month, I’ve lost a dedicated workshop and the smaller scale will take up less room on my kitchen table / work bench [:D]. With the loss of the workstation, I’ve got no where to airbrush, except for outside on the deck…of course, its pretty cold outside right now, snow on the ground and such, so spraying outdoors is less than ideal. That being said, the Jagdpanther is all brush painted. It is also straight out of the box, though if there are after market parts available, it could certainly use them as there were no pioneer tools or anything included.

Corrective criticism is always welcome!

Thanks,

WOW,I love that table cloth ODD MAN RUSH, well ok that 1/72 Jagdpanther looks pretty boss to.Just picked up my first 1/72 Trumpeter kit a short time back.Because as you pointed out, space availability is getting limited. Cool looking forward to more of this Braille scale stuff .[Y]

That looks pretty cool. Braille builds amaze me. The top of the vehicle should also receive a whitewash. It could be spotted pretty easily by an aircraft against the snow. Keep up the good work.

Howdy oddmanrush, I like your model a lot. Brush painting turned out to be good for this one. The “wintering” came out very pretty.

Hope you can get yourself a place to airbrush. Keep 'em coming, have a nice day

Pawel

Thanks for the comments guys!

Detailfreak - I’m glad you like the table cloth! It was pretty cheap, I think I got it at Target or something. Looks nice in the dining room but its getting dirty. Of course, my modeling on the kitchen table might have something to do with it…haha but thanks for the comments and good luck on your builds!

Tigerman - Thanks for the tip. I had considered white washing to top as well but decided against it for several reasons. One, which I may not have displayed very well, was that it would be worn off by constant foot traffic of the crew. The second was that I wanted to show a little bit of the camo underneath to give the armor a little more diversity. I guess I threw accuracy out the window for creative license and my own preference.

Pawel - Thanks, the brush painting turned out a lot better than I expected it to. I hope to either build a spray booth or just wait for warmer more inviting weather.

Thanks again.
