Trumpeter 1/35 Leopold, progress pics.

Ok here we go.
This is the Trumpeter 1/35th scale Leopold.

I am dry fitting all the major sub assemblies. If you see some gaps here and there … don’t worry, I will take care of them when I glue the parts together.

It is ready for some paint now, and then I will add all the details.

Comments are welcome. [:)]

One big kit. Looking good. Hey…what’s with all the wingy-thingies? [;)]

awesome my friend. just awesome.

joe

First off, It’s thrilling to finally see some pics from Legoland. [tup]

You have been BUSY, my friend. I see some PE there, is that included with the kit itself?
Absolutely beautiful! Can’t wait for more progress shots.

That thing is tremendous! I’m glad we didn’t decide on Mad Leopold Day.[:P]

Thanks guys [:I][:I]

now that would be imposible [:D][:D]

And yes the PE is included in the kit

I don’t think I could complete a Mad Leopold Year.
Hey… ‘Leopold Year’, every four years you have to finish one by Feb 29.[:p]

HOLY HUDGENESS Monradman!!! (in Robin’s voice)

That thing is great. Almost ready for the 5 gallons of paint it going to take to paint it.

Looking real huge Monrad. Looking forward to more pics.

Ausf you are nut. But a funny nut.[(-D]

I don’t think 5 gallons will be enough [:D][:D]
Thanks for all the comments guys

Looking great, Monrad.

How did the build go? I have the DML Leopold but haven’t even thought of starting it yet.

Dan

Thank you. The build went good, it had a few fit problems, but I expected that with such a big kit, nothing to serious.

Hmmm now I just have to figure out how to fit it in the spray booth. hmmmm

That sure is a lot of plastic!
Looking good so far.
Keep us posted!

Looks great so far Thomas. Please keep us posted as you progress.

P.S. Congrats on reaching the 1k post plateau.

man manrad that’s a big beautiful build you doing there [:p] let us enjoy your progress , keep it up and will you put your monster on tracks ?

monrad, that puppy is so big i’d have to keep it in my garage for display! my wifes volkswagon wouldn’t like that. looking forward to future pic’s. she’s a monster. semper fi, mike

Thanks for all the comments guys.

Yes I will put it on tracks. I will use the tracks from the kit, and I will use the wooden things underneath the tracks from the kit, sleepers or ties or what ever you call them in english. But the ballast I will make myself, the kit ballast is just too ugly.

ooooooooooooooooh aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
very nice

looking really good, cant wait to see it come along

Well that monster is looking good. Hope to see more of it soon.
