Ok. I am totally a small scale (1/72) modeler) as there are a lot of subjects to cover in this scale. I recently won Trumpeter’s Vigilante on Ebay for less than $20 (including shipping). This is my first Trumpeter kit. Needless to say…I received the kit today and I am blown away! What a great kit. The detail is awesome. I am used to Hasegawa, Academy, and Tamiya in this scale…but this is awhole new level! I can say that this will not be the last Trumpeter kit I buy if the others as nice as this one!
Just had to share my joy with my fellow modelers. I bought this kit because my uncle flew them in Vietnam and the kit came with Super Scale decals for the “Connie” his ship! Bonus for me!

Great buy!
Great Bird!
One seriously lucky Uncle!
Was he a front or back seater in that usually dangerous job?
Have fun building your Vigi and keep us posted with progress pics.

Good price on a good kit. Enjoy building it.

Thanks everyone!
Milairjunkie: He was in the front seat. He also flew “Scooters” and A-1’s. I am pretty sure that the “Vigi” was his last plane…At least till he went to crop dusting and eventually flying big airline jets!
If it has wings that man can fly it!

Will it make it to the bench anytime soon? I look forward to seeing it.
I think I’m getting hooked on 1/72 scale too. Jets at least.
Tony
Hopefully. I have the EF-111A for the variable Geom. GB. A F-2 Banshee, H-19, and Oh-13 for the Korea War GB. Add to that I am planning on starting a “Viper GB” in December!
I recently changed over from WW2 1/48 to Modern 1/72. I like the options in Helos, jets, armor, and even some of the WW2 kits that are covered…the big bonus is the size to display area ratio.
Travis
I hope I can join in with the Viper GB. Kinda already have one in mind. I like 1/48 but don’t have much room to display them so 1/72 it is. But when I can afford it a 1/32 jet is gonna be fit in somewhere.
Tony
I’m actually wrapping this kit up right now as part of the Eye in the Sky GB. It’s fought me every step but is turning out to be quite a nice looking model. I look forward to seeing how yours turns out!
