hey guys -[:D]- this is my t-34 at about 95% finished-- I am still working on the weathering and may add a political slogan to the sides of the turret- I love the looks of a war weary, beat up tank, many battles to its’ credit, but honey, this aint that tank!!-- lol [:O]–this represents a fairly new tank of the 26th Guards Tank Brigade of the 2nd Guards Tank Corp, Eastern Prussia ,late fall/early winter, 1944, with appropriate tactical markings- some of the pics are reference pics and then a pic of how i modeled that area-- I converted the smoke generating canisters on the back into extra fuel storage tanks-- the t-34 was often seen this way because there was a shortage of the smoke generator units-- and I made the tarp and ‘leather’ straps hanging from the turret back wall(often seen in reference photos also)— As i said before this is still a W.I.P–nothing I am calling finished-- I know there is some brass hinges showing on one of the pics and a couple other things I want to make look better before I am able to say ‘finished’ – just wanted to post some progress-- feedback welcome-thanks guys -tread[8D]
I have no words for you T34 tread! [bow]
Beautiful Tread! [tup] You’re doing such a amazing job on that T-34 [:D] You are taking your time to detail, and it shows [tup]
she’s a beaut tread. i really can’t say anything, i’m speachless. abxolutly beautiful [bow]
WOW! The engine compartment is wonderful, and I really like the subtle rust/weathering effect. Outstanding job!
Russ
Wow!, You need to find some way to put this (safely) on public display… library, Hobbyshop, VFW or local guard unit. There are a lot of people that would love [tup] to see this thing but I doubt the majority would appreciate the [banghead] efforts as much as all of us here on the forum do.
Super, Super, Super.
Steve
Been an amazing journey watching this one come to life tread, the details you’re able to add just keep upping the realism with every set of photos. [tup][tup][tup]
Awesome Tread. All these added details bring the model to life. Excellent work all around.
That’s some amazing work Tread. Your attention to detail is admirable. Can’t wait to see it all finished…if it ever gets there. [:D]
Can’t say too much, so I won’t, Cool going my Friend, simply excellent.
Regards, Your Friend,
Terry.

Looks sweet!
The time and effort your putting into this Tread is really paying off…the detail is amazing[tup]
Scary good!!! Might just scare me right into cross-stitch! [(-D]
Seriously though, heads-and-tails above most i’ve seen just about anywhere!
Great work Tread. Just beautiful.
How did you make the rubber pipe connectors and the band clamps? They really stand out in the engine compartment.
I can never get enough of seeing this build Tread and it never ceases to amaze me take this shot for instance looking closely at the different weathering and textures and details its as close to perfect as you can get, truly brilliant.
Ron.
It’s kind if scary…I found myself looking for threads in the holes for the rear engine cover plate…
Awesome work.
WOW!![:D][:P]–thanks all you guys for looking and especially to you guys who took the time to respond–[:D]-- you are are to generous!-- the hull and turret are painted and lettered in MM acryl and the weathering is artist oils with a very very little Tamiya and Mig pigment (and I stress VERY little)–lol-- to do the tactical lettering I bought a small artist brush that has squared off bristles so when the lettering is applied it is almost like writing with a pen-- I highly recommend to anyone who hasn’t tried oils to take the plunge --thanks especially to wbill and Biffa for thier fine examples and tutorials --I have learned much from all here-- as I said in my post, this is still a w.i.p. so I keep lookin at it to see where it will lead me- I will hint I have made a few prototype anti panzerfaust or thoma screens and am trying to decide yes or no on thier installation [}:)]—since posting I have toned down some of the brownish look in some places, lest it be mistaken for rust and done some post shading in black with oils through the airbrush-- looks better to me now-- anyhow thanks guys for looking (jean ,steve and doog–thanks for the ratings!!) I am rambling…thanks again tread[8D]-- p.s. hey Ron – I hope you are feelin better after your surgery,buddy[:)]-- and Terry-my bro–E-mail me dude!— it’s still all inside!!
So some of these photos are "reference " photos of a “Real” tank? Strange how they look just like the “Model” tank. LOL [dinner][BG][C):-)]
P.S. You forgot to email me this time.
OH CRAP!!! sorry dave— [:(]-- my bad-- I kinda for some reason felt a little pushy last time i did – I am so lame when it comes to social graces-- I won’t forget ever again[:D]-- your pal, tread— 3 months to football!![#toast]
