Here is the Toybiz 1/12 scale Capt. America beating up on his nemesis, the Red Skull. I was very pleased with the fit up of the figures and base. The poses are great! The photos show only the glued up figures; there will be alot less bodywork/puttying than with the Thor character. I’ll post progress pics as this goes forward.

Caseyn…the seams aren’t as bad as Thor but still need alot of TLC. But for 12 bucks, I’ll deal with them! [:p]
Here is the updated Red Skull: I camoflaged part of his uniform and have started a base coat on his head. Capt. America isn’t moving as fast, unfortunately. I have him primed and coated with white but he is nowhere near final painting.

Red Skull is lookin’ awesome, great job. Just curious Dan, what brand of paint are you using, and do you brush paint or use an airbrush? I cant wait to see this one finished.

I brush and spray my figures. I sprayed the entire Red Skull figure with Tamiya Green as a base coat. I then added the rest of the details by handpainting with Polly-S and ModelMaster acrylics. The head is handpainted Tamiya Red Clear…to give a transparent effect.
Captain America has used up my alloted patience! I went back to handbrushing the blue because of masking problems, etc. Anyways, Here is the latest with both on the base:

Here is the the base nearly finished. I used polyurethane resin to fill in the tank with the skull in it. I was going to do the dials the same way but the hardener bottle exploded on me ( it was very old and I should have known better ) when I tried squeezing it, launching droplets all over my desk, clothes and both figures. I wound up filling the dials with 5 min Epoxy. So…here I go again fixing up these guys again…[xx(]
