I just started using Tamiya’s Modelling Putty and was wondering if was toxic in any way? whats the best way to apply the stuff and is it safe to use your fingers to smooth it out.

i bloody hope its not toxic. ive been licking my fingers and smearing it on with said salivary finger for years lol.
Usual rule of thumb though, if you cant read the ingredients list, dont eat it.
no kidding I’ve eaten enough of this stuff to spackle the great wall of china ,anything is toxic in enough quantity ,use some common sense do’nt sprinkle it on your popcorn while you’re wacthing epa studies on how to save sperm whale videos. Sheesh watch out for the Hydrogen dioxide a teaspoon is lethal as well

MIG-29, I would make sure to use Tamiya’s modeling putty with plenty of ventilation. That stuff really smells bad and it’s never good to breath in fumes. Likewise I wouldn’t recommend smoothing it out with bare fingers. Skin absorbs stuff and there’s no telling what’s in that putty. Better to be safe then sorry.

I don’t have any of this product but I imagine there are some international symbols on the label that do warn of any potential hazards.
Bottom line don’t use it to brush your teeth with. Its not recommended for use on crackers in place of cheese.
